The stars dance in the milkyway as they watch the sun and moon collide. With beauty and grace, the surfaces meet. Flames caress the moon's surface and the dust sparks on the face of the blazing star. Energy, compacted into one small ball, it grows. The two stars whisper life into the sphere, and burst apart, gliding to their normal orbit. The sphere rapidly descends rapidly towards the earth. It crashes into the calm waters of the ocean. Ripples surface and the ball of energy cools beneath the soothing sea. A crack appears, a beam of light shooting from it. Quickly, more cracks appear, and a face can be seen. It is a girl, the daughter of the moon and sun. Her face breaks the surface of the waters and she takes her first breath of life. Her meek heart beats and flows blood for the first time. From her peripherals she can see a castle. She swims her way over, her body slightly aching from the sudden activity. The castle appeared barren, but yet something is beckoning her to stay. A calming pair of voices, her parents tell her to fret not, everything will be fine. The light peaks in and warms the floor beneath her toes. Standing in the light, she looks out of the window. This is her destiny, her life. This is Stariess.

----

Many years ago when Subeta was an empty, yet fertile planet and Atebus was a mere glint in the universe's eye, Father Sun and Mother Moon admired and loved each other. Though they passed each other daily, both felt there should be more in their world and so it was, that the universe granted them one wish. Between them it was decided that children were the missing piece, many many children. This is how Stariess and her siblings came to be.

Each of Father Sun and Mother Moon's children were given their choice of home, some staying on Subeta, others on Atebus and a few travelling in seemingly random motion throughout the universe. Stariess however, was unique in her choice and stayed on the dark side of her Mother's face where the glittering stars of the sky excited and allured her. With her she kept her companion, an Astralflaik named Galaxie who she loved very much.

Stariess grew quickly, revelling in the quiet motion of the universe though she knew that although her siblings saw their parents at least once a day, her choice had put her in the predicament of only seeing her Father during an eclipse where Mother Moon passed before him, allowing his light to pass over the dark side and warm Stariess face.

'Mother,' Stariess asked wistfully one day,'when will I see Father again?'
'Only a few more nights, dear. He misses you very much.' Her Mother replied.
'I miss him too, Mother.' Stariess sighed.

The hours and days crawled as Stariess and Galaxie watched the sky around them pass. Stariess stared out at the expanse waiting and waiting and finally the day came, her Father would be passing soon! She brushed her hair until it gleamed, fluffed her wings until the feathers were soft and light and tied her prettiest ribbon in the end of her tail. Before she knew it, Stariess could see the first glimmers of yellow and orange announcing his prescence.

'Father! Father! I have missed you so much!' Stariess called to him, dancing over the dark side of Mother Moon.[br'And I you, my sweet child.' She heard him reply.

The passing lasted hours, though Stariess felt as though it took minutes as she talked as fast as possible to her Father, discussing everything from how she had grown to the new conclusions her Father had come to since they last spoke. As the last whispers of light faded from her sight, Stariess sat down, the glow from her Father still warm upon her face.

'Mother, I believe Father is right.' She remarked.
'How so dear?' her Mother asked serenely.
'The world below has changed much since you and Father wished me into being. I would like to see it for myself, up close. Though it would pain me to leave you, if I were on Subeta, or perhaps Atebus, I could see you and my Father every day and night.” Stariess explained.
Stariess heard her Mother sigh contentedly, 'I believe you are both right. It is time you go out into the world, meet new friends and I hear that other Montre on Subeta have owners now, humans that care for and love them dearly. Maybe you could meet someone like that.'
'You never know.' Stariess smiled, 'Perhaps I will meet just the right human.'
...And that is the story of how Stariess came to Subeta, where she spends every possible moment blissfully playing in the warmth of her Father
during the day and peacefully floating in the pale glow of her Mother at night.
