Every year when the carnival came to town, Dumbo would be the first one in line and the first one inside as soon as they opened the gates. Eventually they would all come to know him (and give him the nickname Dumbo since much like the famous Disney elephant he too had big ears) and they started to treat him as one of the staff.

The rides were fun, especially the ones that went upside down but he just wasn't tall enough for the more daring rides so there wasn't that many he could even go on. The food was good but he could only eat so much without getting a really terrible stomach ache. But the games, well that's what he really loved about the carnival. It didn't matter if he won some big elaborate stuffed toy, he just loved the thrill of it all. Sometimes it was a game of skill and other times a game of luck, either way Dumbo had played it countless times. Sometimes the staff didn't charge him either, happy to just watch and let him play for hours. There was no where else in the world that made Dumbo happier.

When Dumbo got older, he did what everyone had always expected him to do by working at the carnival. He was welcomed with open arms, as he had been considered a unofficial team members for years now. The other staff even let Dumbo have his pick of any carnival game he wanted. Choosing his game station was going to be tough though. He knew all the games insides and out so he had all the knowledge he needed about all of them. Ring toss, plate smash, the cork game game? All great games, but when he looked around there was one that immediately got his attention once he saw it. Pop! That was the sound of someone's dart hitting the multi coloured balloons hung on a large wall completely filled with balloons.
