Underneath it all

After the curtain falls for the night, and the crowds have finally left. Eadie sits removing her makeup and getting ready to go. As she sits and stares in the mirror, she starts to tell her story.

It was the ad that changed my life. I was in my early 20's and was looking for a way to earn money. The ad simply said they were looking for girls. Since there was no experience needed, I applied for the job. I started working here at The Folly Show in the Ziara Theater as a chorus line girl.

After months of working my way up in the show, I was asked to do a show. It was a hit! The audience loved it and so did the owners. I was asked to preform two shows a night. I got to pick the girls I worked with, the music we preformed to, and just how far we went. I soon became well known for twirling tassels. I have been told I have a natural rhythm and a nonchalant way of working - a smile and a little bounce.

Before too long, I needed help. So I brought in my good friend, Lourdes She helps with costumes and the choreography. She is the best, she really keeps the shows looking wonderful. She is my right hands girl and I couldn't do it without her.

And here we sit some 2000 shows later. I have loved every second of it and owe my life to that ad!
But really darling, I am exhausted. I'm off.
I'll see you tomorrow for another excellent show.
And with that, she slowly walked out the door.

A point of fact:
Some people think a burlesque show is raunchy and vulgar. It's not though. If done correctly, they are sexy and beautiful. It's all about the way you play with the audience not about the amount of clothes you take off.
