Beware! ~~Do not~~ feed the creatures in the forest

Zapfino used to watch the birds fly all the time, he wished he could talk to them and would often followed them to their home in the forest, no matter how hard his mother tried to keep him away from it, there was no day that Zapfino wouldn't spent playing among the trees, chasing the birds and collecting flowers. But one day he went in too deep, so deep he couldn't see the sky or hear the birds anymore, it wasn't late but it was very dark. That was a part of the forest Zapfino didn't know; never in his short life, Zapfino had ever felt a silent like that; he was worry and lost, yet he wasn't scared. But then he saw them, a couple of yellow eyes staring at him, and for the first time he felt a terrifying cold. Zapfino ran in the opposite direction of the frightening yellow eyes, but unsure of where he was going; he was so scared everything became darker, it felt like he wasn't moving forward but was more and more tired every second, then something made him stop, he saw a glow, it was completely different from the staring eyes, but it was also yellow. Still scared and deafened for the beat of his heart, Zapfino walk slowly towards the glow; alone in the middle of the forest lightened by a week beam of light was a single yellow flower, Zapfino stared at it for a moment; slowly his breath recovered it's regular rhythm, he could hear the birds again, still scared but a little more calm he followed the birds that used to lead his way, then the scent of his mother's food reached him.

When Zapfino saw his home it was night time

already, but it wasn't as dark and quiet as the deeps of the forest. Zapfino didn't told his mother about the yellow eyes, but there was no need, he got so scared that never dare to went back so deep into the forest. Zapfino grew up, and his interest in playing in the forest decrease as the interest in food increased. His new hobby was to bake and cook, to learn new recipes; soon his love for the food made him travel in search of different flavors.

Many years later Zapfino went back to his home town, even if cooking and baking were almost his entire life, she never lost completely her interest in the birds and the forest, many times had Zapfino thought about the yellow eyes in the deep of the forest, and with time his fear became curiosity.
A couple of weeks after he had settle at his old home, he decided to go back into the forest. With no exact path, he walk following what felt were like memories but he couldn't be sure of anything; until he felt the silent again, and then, for a second time he saw them, the same fear went thru his body as the same eyes stared at him one more time, with the same intensity and the same bright color. Zapfino didn't move, he couldn't, and then the creature roared, the sound broke the silent making Zapfino tremble; it then started to move, closer and closer to him, when the weak beams of light reached it, Zapfino could finally saw it's shape, it was a huge wolf type creature, it's fur was shaggy and dusty. Zapfino took a couple steps back but then a tree stopped him, the creature, an inch away from him, smelled the air around Zapfino, he felt like dying when the creature licked his right arm, after a couple of seconds he opened her eyes, and saw loneliness in the yellow eyes, a little less scared he said: Hello, my name is Zapfino, what's your name?; and with a smile, and some of his cookies, they became friends.

After that time Zapfino went every day into the forest, with food for the creature, there was no way he could take his new friend out and into his home, the habitants of the town would be too scared, they would probably try to harm him, besides the forest was a beautiful place, he met different creatures and found all kind of glowing flowers.
