Destroying Angel is a name given to several species of white, highly toxic mushrooms in the genus Amanita. Easily mistaken for edible species, Destroying Angels are responsible for most deaths from mushroom poisoning. Symptoms do not appear for 5-24 hours, long enough for the toxins to have been absorbed, causing severe damage to the liver and kidneys.

As little as half of the mushroom's cap can be fatal.
