A millennia ago, before the western/ Christian gods had come in and invaded, the world had been filled with gods. Gods of water, air, earth, fire, gods of sun, moon, lakes, rivers, stone, they were abundant and plentiful. Some of those gods and goddesses still remained, worshipped by a select few, but many had simply disappeared into obscurity, lost to time when their worshippers had ceased to believe in their existence. Shei had a name once, a purpose, but like many of the ancient gods, her people had simply one day ceased to worship her. She had lived among them for hundreds of years, provided them with bountiful harvests, with plentiful rains, but eventually everything must come to an end. It was then that she had taken on the name, who, a name that was not a name. Hundreds of years passed and one day, she simply forgot what her name had been. She could no longer remember having had a name though at one point she was sure she had one.
