<iframe src="http://bay-server.webs.com/Forsakens%20story.html"> Maybe that one day wasn't so bad. It changed my life.. but was it really in a terrible way? I mean, look at me! I'm stronger, faster, more intelligent, and no one makes fun of me anymore! Hmm..
We were ready to take our senior yearbook photos in the year 2000. I was(as usual) in the back of the line, twiddling my thumbs and messing around with my tail, nervously awaiting the camera flash. I hated bright light and wanted no part of this. The line got shorter and shorter until it was my go. I hobbled up to the leather seat(which wasn't that comfy) and sat on it, crossing one leg over another and smiling crookedly. Other students watched, pointed and murmured. When the cameraman clicked the- thingy.. My life changed forever. Something had gone wrong within the cameras and the flash was a bright red instead of white.(Later on I found out this was because of a careless cameraman spilling cool-aid all over it) I saw nothing but crimson and began to wonder why the flash wasn't turning off. "Uh, kid.. come on. I took your picture. Move it." A gruff voice sounded beside my ear and made me jump. "Y-yes sir.." I said quietly, trying to feel my way along with my tail and ears. Sheetas like me have a sense for where they are, even if they can't see it- so I was pretty okay, I guess. Just disturbed. "Hey Sal!" I waved to my best friend- Quiet. Her name was Quiet. She was beautiful- in a sense. But I couldn't see, so it wasn't my place to say. "Hey Quiet." I mumbled. "I can't see- Where are you?" I poked thin air, lost my balance, and fell. "You're right. Your eyes are red." She was sitting on my stomach and staring at me, I could feel it. I shrugged. "I don't know what happened." "You'd better find out soon, we have Gym next period!" Quiet pulled me to my feet. "You okay?" I closed my eyes for a while and then opened them. Everything had a reddish tint- but hey, s'long as I could see.. "I'm fine!" I brushed myself off, then slung an arm over Quiets shoulder just as the next period bell rang. "May I escort my lady to gym?" Quiet slapped me. "Sure." "Was the slap nesessary?" "Yes." After school ended, I still felt whoozy. "Hey! listen-" I spun around and saw my girlfriend Amnesia. "I can't talk right now." I said apologetically, but blinked a bit. "Wait.. you're purple! Congrats!" I hugged her then dashed off into the woods, leaving her dazed. I had to talk to someone who may actually know what was wrong with me. I took an old unknown trail, admiring the scenery on the way, until I fell flat on my face when I tripped on a stepping stone. "Well, here it is." I was at a giant cottage, with a typical hay roof and a wooden frame, filled in with sheets. Poor Sobe, having to live in a dump like this. When I was just about to knock on the door, an arid Torrey in a silvery labcoat answered. "Hi!" She greeted me. I nodded. "Hey." "Come in!" So I did. Potions and elixirs were neatly racked up on shelves, body parts in pickle jars were arranged on granite countertops, and in the center of the room was a coatrack stacked with lab coats, most stained with blood or chemicals, or burnt from acid, you know the drill. Mad scientist. Sobeii blinked. "Let me guess. You can't see and you want a potion that will help you regain your sight." How did she do that? "Yeah.. o_o" "One moment." She dissapeared through a door that had the skull and crossbones sign in yellow and black etched into the plastic. I.. didn't follow him. Smart choice, huh? I was staring at an eyeball in a jar while it stared back at me- until Sobe came out. "Oh my-" She dropped the vile he had been holding and it shattered into a million peices. "You're bleeding!" I looked myself over. "Isn't that just rain?" My eyesight was still reddish, so to me, I just looked wet. "No! You're covered in blood!" Sobe's eyes lit up. "Follow me." I realized what was happening and dashed for the door, but Sobeii blocked my path. "Pleeeaaasseee?" She gave me the smolder and stuck out her bottom lip. "Fine! But don't you dare go and change me into some different species, okay?" "Yay!" Sobeii pulled out a needle and drew some of my blood. "Done?" "Yes!" She loaded the blood onto a scanner in her (very nerdy) computer, and on the screen in big letters it said, "Blood contaminated: Hydrogen Perioxide detected." Sobeii grinned. "You're a human glow-stick!" I looked at her like she was insane. "What? You're nuts! How could Florescent dye get INTO me?" "Camera flashes often carry traces of other light with them. In this case, you just got unlucky. But good for you, the blood is gonna wear off soon-" She read off the computer as she spoke to me- "And just your eyes are gonna glow a freaky red. Oh, look! The greatest show unearthed is coming to town next week!" I thumped the back of her head. "Irrelevant!" She growled mutinously. "Don't thump me!""Sorry! Tell me more, then." She shrugged. "Nothing more to say." </iframe>
