--------------Opening the spellbook bound in dark purple leather, my tongue creeped to the edge of my lips. There was a perfect silence as I pushed the flickering black candles into a circle, and slowly drew out the sacred symbols. I knew there would be consequences if I chanted the wrong words, placed the talismans wrong, or if my incantations weren't perfect. Yet I was prepared for this. Safeguards had been placed up around me, pages of sacred writings protecting me from harm. Still better yet, protecting the outside world should I misstep, or something interrupted. There would be only one chance to do this right. My very soul was at stake. Taking a breath, I closed my eyes. "Reverence. I do thee bind. Reverence, lights that shine," I gasped softly, and then my mind softened and went into chant. Painless words poured out as if made of liquid ebony, silver and purple, and bound into me, etching symbols of the ancients deep into my skin. My eyes began to glow, a soft purple, backlit with the brightest white light and sparkling infinitive energy. I was now able to see everything. I don't know this power was ever meant to be imbued into a dragon, but it now resided within my skin, glistening in my scales and filling every space with a cold comforting white energy. When had I transformed? It mattered not. I was full of power, and light, but also, a deep respect for the arcane. Reverence. I now had no name but Reverence.
