About
Vanhelm is, in more ways than one, a creature of the night. For one, he is a vampire and has been for 300 years. For another, he walks the streets at dark, looking for some fun to be had, as well as his next meal. Not afraid to wear as little as possible beneath his long, dark trenchcoat, Vanhelm's personality is more 'tongue-in-cheek' than purely sarcastic; he is not afraid to do strange things, if only for the thrill of doing it and letting others watch him do it.

Minion
Eclipse was given to Vanhelm, in part, as a gag gift one birthday. Knowing that Vanhelm dislikes the sun and cats, he wasn't particularly pleased to have Eclipse around, but has gradually grown fond of her, particularly after one dinner party, where upon being insulted by a guest, Vanhelm's minion hissed at his guest and started to glow, shocking the other so much that he fell backwards into the punch bowl. Since then, Vanhelm will admit to grudgingly growing fond of 'that little furball.'
