There is no cat as close to being a god as I and there are none so lucky to be treated with such high respect and honor as an Egyptian cat!


My fur is brushed and always silky, I'm fed only the finest of foods and I am adorned with silks and painted with gold! Even the Pharaoh himself is so inclined to pay me respects and together we see to our people.


The first of many men walks in, stopping at a respectful distance as he waits for our permission to speak. We nod in near unison and I listened intently as the Pharaoh absentmindedly brushes his fingers though my fur and thoughtfully rubs behind my ears. It's hard to focus on the subject's words as I try to stifle a purr of contentment, but I manage, if just barely...

Whenever the Pharaoh is presented with a problem that is particularly difficult to make a decision for, or he isn't certain himself with how to solve it, that's when he turns and his eyes meet mine, that's also when something happens that he has no explanation for. As he gazes into my eyes, every answer suddenly becomes clear. Every unsolvable dispute or impossible job suddenly have the right possibilities to put them within his ability to take care of. He would call me a god, but only I know the truth, and it isn't within my abilities to speak it to him, though I am content being what I am.
I don't always have to be present in the throne room for these matters but there is always a comfortable place for me should I choose to honor them with my presence. To be certain, the kingdom's affairs actually interest me. It's nice to know what's happening in my city! After all, a cat can only see so much.
I am allowed to come and go as I please and I need not fear harm whenever I venture outside of the royal walls. The penalty for harming a cat is death, whether is was purposefully done or not. Thieves are too afraid to even lay hand on my fine golden jewelry, everyone knows me in the streets and as I pass they bow their heads in respect, stopping what they are doing. I am given anything I desire but I do not desire as much as most cats if they were in my position would be. I can speak with a Goddess and she has imparted much knowledge to me.
