Riverside Valley was abuzz with chatter about the new beekeeper in town. She was a Chai named Beehive. What kind of name was that? She was even odder than her name if what a young Bumbus had to say was of any indication.

"I peeked through the gate to see if the rumors were true. She was a Chai and dressed like a bee instead of a beekeeper. When she spotted me, she invited me in and asked me if I wanted to join her hive!" the young Bumbus exclaimed.

After hearing the Bumbus' odd tale, most of the residents of Riverside Valley steered clear of Beehive's home and avoided her when she came into town to sell honey and beeswax candles, always clad in her honeybee costume. No one wanted to "join her hive," whatever that implied.

When Beehive thought glumly that she must be destined to be alone in her new home, a small Honeybear padded up to her. He tugged on her leg, startling the poor Chai.

"Can I have a taste of your honey?" he asked shyly.

"Of course!" Beehive replied, pleased to finally have a customer.

"I don't have any sP, but maybe if you needed some help with the bees?" he offered.

"I'd be happy to have some help with the hive," she said, and added silently, 'and some company.'

"Great. My name's Chubby, by the way," he said between bites of honey.

From that day forward, she found a friend and constant companion in the Honeybear.
