Name: Lexis Cass

Appearance: Lexis stands approximately 5' 3", with soft curves, bordering on pudgy. Her shoulder-length hair is brown and a little fluffy, because she lets it air dry instead of using a blow dryer or styling it at all. She has a heart-shaped face with a natural flush to her roundish cheeks and pouty lips. Her clothes are usually simple; in fact, she spends the majority of her time dressed in scrubs and tennis shoes, with her hair pulled back into a wild ponytail so she can work without her hair in her face. The only thing truly unusual about her appearance is her eyes, which glint a metallic silver instead of a blue or brown.
Personality: Lex has the natural temperament of a healer: she's warm and welcoming, with a permanently open smile on her face. She's trusting and a little naive, and tends to like everyone she meets. It does, however, give her a tendency to be a little motherly, worrying over her friends and companions to make sure they're all right.
History: Born into a wealthy family, her parents were dismayed to find out that their baby had been born blind. Unable to cope with the idea that their daughter might grow up without the joys of sight, they took her to every doctor on the continent to try and heal her. Finally it was made clear to them that there was no fixing the eyes that Lexis had been born with, so they decided to replace them. At huge expense, her parents took her to the most advanced medical robotics center in the world, where they fitted her with a pair of round, silver synthetic eyes, with camera lenses attached to the visual centers of her brain, giving her not only the gift of sight, but, by changing out the lenses in the cameras, she can zoom in far closer than natural human eyes, as well as see greater distances, but the process of changing lenses is cumbersome and slow, involving a specialized screwdriver and a magnifying mirror.
Lexis always had an urge to take care of those around her. Growing up, she had as many pets as her parents would allow, and she took the greatest care of all of her animals. In high school she decided she wanted to take care of people for a living, and studied for years to become a doctor. Upon graduation she took a job as a medic with an interplanetary company, where she uses her zoom lenses to operate on patients, refining her movements and precision to ensure the quickest healing time possible.
