You walk into a local pub and take a sit. The place actually seems unsually well-lit. Many lovely colored lanterns adorn the ceiling, giving the place an almost festive look. Despite this you pay it very little mind. After all, you're quite tired from the long trip. You just want to rest for now. This seemed to be a long shot when you hear rather loud chattering from a nearby table.

A Reborn Clawsion seems to be enjoying a drink with a rather rough-looking Sparta. He has a kansai accent, and seems to be a little drunk. A metal fan glints from the Clawsion's back, where it is securely held. There also seems to be an odd marking on the fur on his arm. He exclaims something loudly giving a hard slap to his companions back.

The Clawsion is laughing merrily, wrapping his arm around his companion now. You look closer at the rather rowdy looking bunch. You could've sworn that you had seen them somewhere before, but you couldn't be sure...

The barkeep notices that your attention is held on the group, he leans in. "You should stay away from them. Those are the Mt.Reikaku bandits."

You hadn't noticed that you had been staring. Had you really been that obvious. You supposed it matter very little. You pay the barkeep and leave. If bandits were staying at this inn, then you probably shouldn't be staying there.

Tasuki is very strong and never shys away from a fight. He has a strong sense of responsibility and is very protective of his friends. He's the leader of a gang of mountain bandits. He inherited this position from the last boss, who died of illness. He was very proud and Tasuki and even spoke of him with his dying breath. Tasuki was not around at the time, because he was searching for the cure. The old boss left Tasuki a memento. A fan made of solid iron that was enchanted to shoot fire.

Tasuki himself is naturally a fire-sign and has a fitting personality. He grew up in the mountains, so he naturally wasn't around open bodies of water. So as an adult not only does he hate water, but he is also unable to swim. He also has issues regarding women. He says he hates them, but is very protective of Miaka and treats her as a little sister throughout most of the series. His feelings towards women probably can be traced back to his pushy mother, and his five bossy older sisters.

ABOUT FUSHIGI YUUGI

Miaka Yuuki is a rather typical fifteen-year-old girl studying for her high-school entrance exams. Her overbearing mother keeps pushing her to study hard so that she can enter the ultra-exclusive Jonan Academy. Her best friend, Yui Hongo, is extremely smart and Miaka muses that Yui would have no problem passing the Jonan entrance exam. Yui drags Miaka to the public library.

Miaka wanders off to find a vending machine. There she witness' the most beautiful crimson bird fly off. Upon following it she's led to the restricted section. She can't help but feel drawn to a book inside. Before she's able to open it her friend Yui finds her.

Yui is able to translate this book, 'The Universe of The Four Gods'. It reads: 'Herein contains the tale of a young lady and her quest to gather the seven Constellations of Suzaku together. And if you, the esteemed reader, should read to the story's end, the spell contained within this book shall bestow upon you the powers of the heroine, and grant you your wish. For Indeed the moment the first page is turned, the story will become reality.

Upon reading the last sentence the two girls are sucked into the world of the Universe of the Four Gods and their story begins.
