Marsail is the Gatekeeper. She, along with the Raven Honorios, guard the Gates that connect the Worlds. It is their duty to make sure only certain individuals pass through the gates. If they do their duties improperly, they will be severely punished, and replaced with new Gatekeepers.

Marsail hardly speaks. At the Gates, there are many ravens, but there is only one she is able to communicate with. That is the Raven Honorios, and both of them are fairly quiet. On Earth, she is often mistaken for mute or deaf.

She also sees in a way that most do not. She appears to be blind to anyone who meets her, as she seems to look through and past most people. Marsail also sees Honorios as a being other than a raven. However, she is unable to describe his appearance to anyone.

Marsail's body is currently living on Earth, and her mind is back at the Gates. She can see everything that goes on in both locations.

She has become rather close friends with Desmond Sanctum.
