Corona!Only the sudden darkness and spreading chill of the sunset could rouse the jollin pup from his deep slumber. He yawned and stretched his front paws before staring out at the endless sky before him. Inheriting the job from his father, Alaxender is the guardian of the stars, the reason the black sky lights up with twinkling wonders every night.
Satisfied it was dark enough, Alaxender began moving towards the pen where the stars spent their days safely slumbering away under his care. After lifting the latch, Alaxender raised a single star off of its cloud pillow. Carefully cradling it in his paws, the jollin began to swiftly run, adeptly dodging space debris until he reached a seemingly predetermined spot. The star suddenly jumped to life in his paws and quickly began shining bright. Again and again, one at a time, Alaxender would wake a star before carrying it to its night-home.
Given his insistence on carrying each star on its own, it was a while before Alaxender finished his task, finally returning home to a glittering sky. Smiling, and proud of his job lighting up the sky, the content jollin settled down to look after his charges. Soon, the sharp-eyed creature spotted the tips of the sun’s rays peeking over the horizon. It was time to bring his stars home.
Quickly scampering across the sky, Alaxender brought every star home one by one, making sure that each was comfortable on the cloud before returning for the next. Only after every star was safe did Alaxender make three quick turns before settling down for some rest. As daylight flooded the sky, Alaxender closed his eyes.
But the story doesn’t end there; legend has it, if you look up at the stars really really closely, just before the sunrise, you might catch a glimpse of a shooting star... or what is actually a little jollin, fetching his stars to bring them safely home for the day.
