Went berry picking with the girls today and came home with lots of goodies to fill our fruit bowl! I'm excited to start making pies in a few days.

Momma got so many berries for Glurp! Glurp love Momma! Glurp love fruit!

We had planned on baking today, but when we woke up half of our fruit was missing. No one is owning up to eating it though, so I have no idea where it went. Weird! Luckily, there's still plenty left for desserts.

Glurp really like blueberries; raspberries too many seeds, get stuck in teeth.

Today Mrs. Newman asked if I could keep an eye on on her fields while she's visiting her sons; apparently some of her oranges have been going missing overnight. Who would take her fruit? She practically gives it away if you ask! I asked Glurp if he wanted to patrol with me, but he said he was busy. I guess I'll take the dog and start walking around her orchards every morning.

Oranges even better than blueberries! Glurp need find more fruit kinds to try.

No fruit has been missing from Mrs. Newman's since before she left, but now other people in town have reported losing crop! The only thing we know is that no fruit is safe. There hasn't been enough fruit taken for it to be resold, but it's definitely enough that we've all noticed a sizeable amount is missing. Funny enough, so far no place has been struck twice. That's good news, I guess. Tonight I'm going over to Mr. Joe's with some other neighbors to see if we can figure anything out. Hopefully we won't have to resort to sitting in the fields at night to keep watch.

Glurp need to find place for fruit!! SO MUCH. So many different kinds!! So yummy. Mmm.

Glurp LOVE glomping fruit, especially apples. But Glurp don't want to eat /that/ fast. So Glurp build treehouse for storing fruit and also for playing and listening to birds. Chirp! Best treehouse in town!!

We have a break in the case; rangers found a treehouse with a lot of our fruit in a little-used corner of the town park. Now we just have to figure out who built the treehouse. We're so close!

Can see everything up in tree! Birds love Glurp, never hungry. Om nom nom.

Noticed last night that some of our wood was missing. Did one of mine build the treehouse? Guess I'll try and find out tomorrow. Sigh.

Well, it's officially Glurp. I'm so conflicted. Hopefully the rangers aren't too hard on him; he's just a baby!

Is Glurp really so hungry that he has to take other people's fruit? He's perfectly well fed! He told me he took it all beacuse he loves fruit so much, but is that really true? It's so kind of everyone to let his theft slide this year in exchange for him helping to tend to the plants next year. But if he's going to hoard all of the town's fruit, then at least he should be able to finish it all. Otherwise, what a waste! I think that's what I'll tell him to do; he should have to finish all that fruit before the end of the year to learn his lesson in gluttony. That's plenty of time, assuming he eats a few pieces every day. I hope he doesn't put up a fight.
