Character brainfarts

- Maleth, male, appears to be in his mid-late 40s
- Intelligent, slightly calloused, stubborn. Honest, protective and impatient. Dangerously relentless when it comes to getting things done his way, even if it might not be the right way to do things.
- Spent his youth as a devoted and skilled necromancer, occasionally dabbling with alchemy to test the effects of various poisons on the body.
- Over time, the focus of his studies shifted from poisons to potions and he found himself intrigued by the inner workings of the body. Instead of throwing off the natural balance within the body, he found himself seeking to restore it. It was around this time that his sight began to fade.
- Might not seem physically strong and lacks the speed and confidence of movement he once had, but that serpentine lower half still has the strength to crush bones.
- Prefers to focus on science, magic and facts instead of belief and religion. Somewhat lacks a proper bedside manner and is slightly lacking in empathy.
- Has four children, three of which have left his care. His middle son, Galen, is currently picking up his father's trade as a healer.

Character appearance:
- Average height, lean and slender, almost bordering on underweight. Most of his weight and muscle is in his lower half
- Pale, olive-coloured skin. The snake half is covered with dark, murky green (nearly black) scales with a slightly lighter green ring pattern along the back. Belly scales are a pale olive colour. On the back, the scales go up all the way to the back of his neck, covering the spine and spreading left and right across his back and onto the shoulders.
- Black, thin and long hair, graying at the temples. He often pulls it back in a single, loose braid.
- Maleth is completely blind in both eyes due to cataracts. He has taught himself to detect other living beings by scent and detecting obstacles by picking up vibrations. Being part snake worked in his favor. Can also use a weak pulse of magic to see (similar to echolocation), but generally relies on enchanted items, such as staves with orbs, or enchanted rings.
- Spindly, thin fingers that have seen their share of old tomes, and forbidden spells.
- Attire-wise prefers simple robes and clothing that is easily kept clean. At most, he might tie a sash around his waist as a makeshift belt to keep the robe in place. Overall rather plain-looking, aside from the enchanted rings.
