Legacy Name: Virelai

The shop was open for business, and while it wasn't what you would particularly call busy, there were enough people milling around and making small purchases that Virelai felt comfortable leaving his post at the cash register to make sure that things were still in the correct places. Of course, that was more of an excuse to himself than anything else- he honestly just wanted to see who was looking at what and make sure he could be as helpful as possible.

Someone was standing near the violin displays, eyes tracing the wood and curves as if it were a jug of water and they had just crossed the desert. That was a look he liked to see: either they had never played before and were planning on learning, or they were a beginner looking for a good piece to play. He cleared his throat, smiling politely.

"Would you like me to take something out for you?" He offered, not waiting for them to turn to face him. Their head whipped around, blinking and ready to speak, before they nodded, beaming. He opened the display, pulling out the most basic model, and ran his fingers over the polished surface as he explained it's features. The customer, as they told him over at the register, was sold at his first word on the piece.

"I don't want to press, but- I heard you play for your customers sometimes and, well, would you mind playing something on my violin? For good luck?" They asked, obviously nervous about their inquiry. He took the violin, smiling and adjusting it a bit, before closing his eyes and beginning to draw out the first few notes of Vitali Chaconne, letting the song take his mind past the store and into the notes he was drawing his bow across. He closed up the shop later happier than he had been the day before, with high hopes for the next.
