About a two mile hike from Arctic Frost, there lies a little cottage. It's made of big, round logs and has a pretty thatched roof with a little stone chimney peaking out of it.
But none of that is what's strange about it.
No, this little cottage is strange because of who lives inside. It's inhabitants are as follows -
- Two cats, one wearing a scarf and the other a hat.
- A pink popoko who likes the circus.
- And one larger, grey dog with antlers.
All of these individuals are equally important, of course. But - for now - we are going to focus on that last one. That larger, grey dog with antlers.
Yes, him.
His name is Blobby. By all appearances he is fairly average. But do not be fooled! For he is absolutely amazing, and practically perfect in every way.

You see, in 2001, in a completely different world, I created a pet with the name blobby763 on my first day in said world. Over the many years that I frequented that place, blobby763 developed a life and character of his own.
For a younger me, he became a character that was exactly who I wanted to be when I grew up. Looking back, it's a little worrying to see how much a 150x150 cartoon influenced who I turned out to be. But I digress.
I grew up, and moved on from that world. On the various forums that I happened upon, I tried time and time again to create character that I had some form of attachment to.
It never quite worked.
Every time, no matter how much I drew them or wrote about them, I never developed that same attachment that I had previously had for blobby763.
So one day, I said to myself - 'Enough is enough!' And I sat down with a pencil and drew Blobby, as I though he should be. He had markings halfway between a Roe and a White-Tailed deer, as well as great stag antlers. But he had the face, feet and heart of a dog, and the same characteristic loyalty - after all, he's been with me for ten years.

Blobby stands 2.1 feet tall, meaning that he comes up to the hip of your average person. His antlers add another foot or so, though, so he tends to seem a bit bigger. From nose to tail, he's 3.11 feet long.
His coat is a grey-brown colour, though he has a creamy underbelly and darker brown marking that run from his nose, down his back. His fur has two layers - the one close to the skin, which is soft and feathery, and a top coat, which is coarser and thicker. This acts both as waterproofing and also helps insulate him against cold weather.
Like most species with antlers, Blobby's grow from pointed lumps on the skull called pedicles. As they grow they are initially made of rubbery cartilage, but this hardens and is mineralised to form bone. The antlers are covered by a soft 'velvet', which provides oxygen and nutrients to the growing bone. As a large amount of energy is needed to allow their growth, decent sized antlers are an indication of good health, diet and metabolic efficiency.
Blobby sheds his antlers every spring, then usually either keeps them in a drawer somewhere or sells them and uses the money to buy a hot dog.
Blobby himself is a rather average guy. Some of his favourite activities are eating, sleeping and reading which are all, you know, pretty normal. He also likes to spend his spare time hiking and sightseeing (sometimes simultaneously).
He's very hard working and always generous, enthusiastic and cheerful - a Hufflepuff through and through. That said, he's got a bit of a temper and is very easy to wind up, which can be good for a laugh. He prefers the winter to sticky summer, because he likes getting to play in snow and wearing scarves and hats and boots, and watching your breath curl in the cold, and that tingling feeling you get when you come inside after not wearing gloves.
His favourite pizza topping is onion, and his favourite book is a toss up between Good Omens or The Pickwick Papers, which he considers the poles of great literature.
