Hathen has a minion!

During the 1920's there was a man, he held a position as the producer and creator of a very popular cartoon character. This cartoon character was one Hathen Mutt, a rubber hose cartoon hound dog. His entire body was a deep color with a brighter face. He was very tall for a hound and known to often play the hero of the shows he would star in. Folks loved the character.

So did the man. He enjoyed the attention and the money that Hathen allowed him to make. Very quickly the man let greed consume him and his behavior around the studio became harsh and Iron fisted. Hours at the studio became unreasonable. Breaks where pretty much taken from the workers. Life as an animator at the Hathen studios was a hell in of itself. The man however did well for himself and he would for many years... then, the decline came.

One of Hathen Studio's animators was deeply intertwined with the occult. They would use this self taught skill often to commune with the dead and sometimes... Demons. However they worked hard and was a great animator. Yet they where known to have a "Take no shit" attitude and would often stand up to the producer in defense of their coworkers. This enraged the producer, who felt often his ego, authority and control had been challenged by this person. He would harshly fire the animator after one such challenge, roughly throwing the animator out of the studio himself by the shoulder. Embittered with the Producer the animator swore revenge.

That night the animator would use his knowloadge of the occult to commune with a powerful demon. It is unsure what the animator had traded but they were never heard from again. All that could be found in the apartment was a drawing of Hathen the mutt covered in burns in the center of the floor.

It was after the animator disappeared the rumors began to pick up in the studio. Employees claiming to seeing a large figure out the corner of their eye before it would disappear around a corner. Frames and animation reels would be found torn apart. Ink dripped from the walls. Very quickly rumors sparked up. The Studio was haunted.

Soon sightings became more clear, people swore they saw what appeared to be.... HATHEN, with horns atop his head pointing forward. A predatory smile often said to be curling on his lips. What ever this was it meant to do real harm.

Then people started to disappear in the studio. Folks left in droves abandoning the studio as it was. The Producer would lose everything unable to get anyone to come work for his "haunted" Studio. The Studio would go abandoned.

Today, the building has been condemned. It is still rumored to be haunted. But the Truth? Hathen was given life. His personality twisted and disrupted by the demon. A violent predator that enjoys the hunt. He's still there... waiting... for those foolish enough to enter his kingdom.

In the halls of a old cartoon studio, Hathen wanders. He holds firm to his abandoned kingdom. His world. Hathen prays on those foolish engough to explore his domain.
