Almost as if you were being compelled to your hand reaches out and slowly pushes open the ornately decorated door in front of you. Just beyond the door to the side of the entryway is a beautiful, dimly lit Japanese style tearoom. A young Darkmatter Feli stands in front of a low table serving delicious smelling tea to two young girls and a ...rabbit?

He turns as if sensing you standing in the doorway and his mismatched eyes pierce you with their gaze, even through his glasses. “What are you doing here?”

You fumble and try to explain yourself, fully aware of how crazy your story must sound, but the Feli only nods. “Yeah, that, uh, happens a lot.” He shakes his head wearily. “Yuuko and her underhanded business tactics,” he mutters darkly.

“Underhanded, underhanded!” chirps the two girls happily.

“Maru, Moro, stop that,” he snaps at them, but they only giggle in response.

He turns back to you. “Um, Yuuko isn’t in right now, so I guess you’ll just have to-” he stops midsentence. “Or maybe... I suppose Yuuko would say that there was a reason that you came while she was gone- that it was “hitsuzen” or something.”

He looks at you uncertainly. “Maybe, maybe I can help you?” He gestures to the empty cushion at the low table. “Why don’t you have a seat and I’ll pour you some tea.”

“No, Watanuki!” You can practically hear the crack of the whiplash as you jerk your head around to look at the rabbit as it spoke. “Sake!”

The Feli’s quiet and uncertain demeanor changes instantly as he turns to the rabbit. “Mokona, you lush! You’re not getting any sake- drink your tea!”

The rabbit bounces up and down, chanting childishly. “Sake, sake, sake!”

“I said no alcohol!” the Feli yells.

The rabbit stops bouncing. “Then teacakes,” it says seriously.

“Teacakes, teacakes!” the girls sing out in obvious agreement.

“But those are supposed to be for- You know what? Fine. Yuuko wants to disappear when we have customers calling then she doesn’t need any cakes,” he says crossly. “Why don’t you have a seat? I’ll be out in a minute and then we can discuss your problem.”

At a loss for words (How did he know you had a problem?) you nod numbly and sit down. Immediately the two girls attach themselves to your arm.

“That’s Maru,” the pink-haired girl says, pointing to the girl on the other side of you.

“That’s Moro,” the blue-haired girls says, doing the same.

“And Mokona is Mokona!” shouts the rabbit, jumping onto the table.

Curious, you question about the Feli in the kitchen.

“That’s Watanuki,” says Mokona. “Silly April’s Fool, Watanuki!”

“Shut up about that!” snaps Watanuki as he reenters the room with a large tray of the most delicious, delicate looking cakes and cookies that you’ve ever seen. He sets the tray down in the middle of the table and Mokona bounds over and starts eating.

“I see you’ve taken it upon yourself to entertain our guest,” a dark voice says from the doorway. A tall, pale woman is leaning against the doorframe, her kimono shrugged off one lean shoulder, a long pipe held in her hand. She looks at you with dark violet eyes and they seem to pierce right through your soul.

“Come along, Watanuki,” she says, her long, white fingers beckoning. “Bring along the cakes, our customer and I have much to discuss.”

You look weakly back at the Feli, as if Watanuki could somehow help you, as if you might need help. He gives you a small smile and nods, and, somewhat reassured, you decide to follow the strange woman to the other room. After all, maybe she can help you with that problem of yours.

Name: Watanuki Kimihiro

Nick-name(s): Spaz, April’s Fool

Favorite Food(s): Sweets

Birthday: April 1st

Hobbies: Perhaps due to the fact that he has been living on his own for quite some time, Watanuki is extremely good at household chores, a skill that has served him well while working for Yuuko. Cooking, especially, is a favorite pastime of his. There’s no denying his prowess in the kitchen either and his cooking is highly sought after. It’s rather easy to convince him to share though, unless you’re Doumeki, of course.

Watanuki also enjoys some sports, especially soccer. And he has a talent for art, as shown with the presentations of his baked goods and when he made snow sculptures with Himawari and Doumeki.

Personality: Watanuki’s personality is one of contradicting extremes. Depending on who you are he can be sweet and subservient or he can be a screeching harpy. He’s very helpful to strangers though and goes out of his way to help people, even people he doesn’t like (though he’ll do this only grudgingly).
