There comes a time in everyone's lives when they come to the realization that they are the exact person they never wanted to be. That was what Scar realized when the end came. The end, the end of all things, well except for the zombies. Running day and night, hiding in old buildings hoping they wouldn't find him. Looking out a crack in a boarded up window he could see the shadows in the moon light of the Walkers. He closed his eyes and breathed, he had become something he never wanted. He pulled the trigger of his M24 bolt action rifle, and took the head off the nearest Walker. He chambered the next round as fast as the lever could move, he has became quite a expert at sniping things. The Walkers started to move into the area now to investigate what the noise was, and found the body of their fallen comrade. They made a noise in unison. It meant a very bad thing. He looked past the Walkers in a daze remembering the day that it had happened. There were about ten people in his group at that time, including his long time Girlfriend, her parents, and siblings. The group had for some reason looked to him for guidance. Something he hated, but put up with. The group had stumbled upon a Herd of Walkers, both groups just stared at one another for what Scar felt was hours before the Walkers decided to move in. Slowly they moved closer and closer until Scar was forced to shoot one. It fell to ground in a bloody heap, well that stopped the advance, but started them into a frenzy of noise making. A noise that scar would never forget. It abruptly stopped, they stared at scar with contempt and hatred. Then came the worst gurgling grunting noise anyone ever heard. Behind them came a thumping of off balance, and far to heavy for one body foot falls. Standing on all fours was a massive Hulk. He was over eight feet at the shoulder, and severely deformed. He had one eye the other must have rotted out of his head for a viscus vile green liquid oozed out of where it should have been. The same vile green substance leaked from his gaping maw with every breath he took. The beast inhaled then let out a roar that sounded like a what he suspected a T-rex might have sounded like. Pulling himself together he shouted for everyone to run, to scatter in different directions. The herd moved in after that casing down members and devouring them. Scar had manged to keep himself and his girlfriend away from the Walkers long enough to hide her and her sister who was just a Infant in a near by dumpster. He tried to lead them away from her and partly succeeded. He rounded the corner from the alley were the dumpster was, and came face to face with the Hulk. He snorted and swiped at Scar who in return loaded his chest full of bullets from his side arm. The hulk roared in pain and anger. Scar took off down the street only to see the Hulk wasn't following him. To his horror it was standing in front of the dumpster with what Scar could only guess a look of victory. It opened the lid to find nothing, flinging the dumpster into the street with an annoyed grunt it looked up and seen the girl climbing up and escape ladder. Scar tried his best shooting left and right avoiding Crawlers. By the time he reached the alley his girlfriend and the Hulk was gone. He climbed up the ladder hoping to not see what he knew he was going to. The Hulk had his girlfriend cornered. Scar took aim with the rifle he had slung over his back, and shot the beast once in the back of the head. It turned and looked at him, he fired again this time landing it between the eyes. The hulk made a high pitched yelp and fell forward. Flailing about it tried its best to keep awake, but Scar and moved in and stuck a hunting knife in the top of its head and twisted. That put an end to the monstrosity's short painful life. After checking his girlfriend and her sister he looked over the edge to see half the group had been downed, the others were lucky enough to get into buildings or up on roofs. A hand jarred Scar back from his memory, "Its time." His girlfriend told him. He nodded and got up preparing himself for the fight ahead. Grabbing a rocket launcher he looked back at the window and kneeled, putting the launder on his shoulder and waiting. There was a screech of wood being crushed and the wall exploded to show another Hulk. This one wasn't as grotesque as the first one, but they varied greatly. The monster shook off the derbies then looked square at Scar. They locked eyes and Scar fired the rocket launcher into its face. The Hulk exploded into tiny bits the shock wave that followed blew the remaining Walkers back. Loading another rocket for the road the group that was once ten people was now fifty strong and formidable. All because Scar had become something he never wanted. An assassin.
