It wasn't the same in town since old man Brewer died, Robyrn thought.
He looked at the sign saying "New management!" on the bakery's door and opened it.
He was surprised to see how the bakery changed; the place smelled of cinnamon and coffee and all sorts of pleasant things.

"oh, sorry? have you been waiting for long, sir?" a voice said
"No, not a whole lot, I just arrived!"
"trust me, ten seconds of waiting is too much for me! just sit down, i'll get to your order in a moment!" replied the other man.

He looked familiar. "Must be the accent...ahem, accent" Robyrn said to himself.
A couple minutes later, the baker showed up, carrying a large book
"take your time to choose what you want" he said, as Robyrn looked at pages and pages of cupcakes and coffees, things that he never knew existed



Meanwhile, as the customer was looking through the over sized menu, Arjana got himself thinking. He saw this guy a couple times before...in his old life.

Majori didn't like to think about his old job, what he did before taking over old man Brewer's restaurant and making a nice cafe with it.

It wasn't a really popular job...and really, he wouldn't switch back.

After all, being a former member of a timeline-destroying organisation make you see life...differently, to say the least



Robyrn saw the waiter go back to his table. This guy really looked familiar, but he couldn't pinpoint where he saw him
"Erm, I'll take a triple-chocolate espresso with two cranberry-orange muffins, please?"
"good. brilliant choise, if i can say so myself!"the baker smiled, as he took back his menu and got behind the counter

"So, have you been in town for long? The shop was closed when I last passed by?" Robyrn asked
"took over the business...about a week and half ago, i'd say. brewer's friends weren't interested in the business and they were all pretty much eager to sell and i was looking for something to do after..."
The tall customer listened carefully...about a week and half ago...he, along with his coworkers, trumped a galactic organisation from destroying the universe...it couldn't.
"What were you doing before?"



Arjana was not expecting these questions. Usually, people just went and ordered and thought to themselves and never talked to him. He wanted to tell that guy what he did for the last couple millenia's but at the same time...if this guy is the one he thinks he is...it wouldn't end well.

"demolition. i worked in demolition. but, i like creating things better. because we never know when our lives may end. we need to cherish what we have...you know"




Yeah. It was one of these guys. After Robyrn and the others from his organisation trumped them, defeated them, they all escaped. For a moment, Robyrn thought they'd come back for revenge...but that guy?

If his idea of revenge was to stay in this universe and make coffee for the rest of his immortal life, Robyrn wouldn't stop him.

That guy was no longer a threat. He wanted to redeem himself..in a way, and Rob wouldn't stop him. Not anymore.


"Alright then, I won't bother you any longer." the customer said, leaving a large pile of coins on the counter.
Much more than the worth of the meal, at least, Arjana observed
"Keep the change, baker"

"thanks for your patronage, sir"

The customer was about to leave, when he said

"Good luck in life, annihilator"
"yeah. thanks, timeqop." Majori replied.
