What is an Ottsel?

An Ottsel is a small orange fuzzy creature resembling what we humans refer to as weasels. According to various wikis they are roughly two feet in height. The first known ottsel used to be a boy named Daxter. Daxter was portrayed as the rather annoying best friend and sidekick to the game series hero Jak. He was transformed when Jak accidentally knocked him into a dark eco vat. According to the Precursors (which are ottsels) in Jak 3 (The Game), eco contains their essence which is capable of blessing anyone who touches it with the form of a Precursor instead of causing the Eco's usual effect of death. So Daxter was blessed into his current form despite feeling it to be a curse.

Contrary to the games, Jak is nothing without me. I am not a sidekick. I am the star. Talk to Jess my sexy little vixen. Anyway before I sound too full of myself, let me tell you my version about me. Well Jak and I get into all these crazy adventures. I need to go with Jak to watch him and make sure he doesn't get in too much trouble, that boy is my best friend. Yes on misty island, was where I turned into my current form. But I am used to it now. It has quite the lady factor. All the girls want to touch me. It took quite some time for me to finally acquire pants but hey no one wants my furry bits all up on everything.

Jak gets the credit for doing everything, but without me he would probably have died. That boy has heart but no brains, that is where I come into play. Yeah I am like one of those little angels or devils on the shoulder talking to him, advising him. His shoulder is actually pretty comfy for a now grown buff man. In fact, I think we have been closer now that we are different by species than when I was also just a normal boy.
