The silence was almost deafening, as the pair bored in to each others souls. Loki stood just inches away from his brother, the 'perfect' one and he found himself just as torn up with jealousy and rage as he always had. Thor, on the other hand, was still as sympathetic with his emotional 'sibling' and he still offered him his hand and forgiveness, despite everything that had gone on. As always, though, Loki rejected the blondes compassion- for he, despite yearning for some form of equality, could never accept such a thing from his 'brother'.

The frost giant was hollow inside, Thor and all of the times they had shared together were dead to him. He was cold, null and void to the affections of his still caring and zealous sibling. Not even the bitter windchill was enough to distract the pair, as it pelted them with a barrage of large, frosty flakes- which in turn obscured their view and distorted their surroundings, but not their purpose or beliefs. "Come home, brother! Stop this, its not too late!" Thor boomed, whilst trying to make his words sound as heartfelt as they genuinely were against the howling winds. "Its always been too late!" Loki snarled, venom coursing through his words and veins. He was still as haunted as the day he first found out.
"Thats not true! We are still brothers, you are still my bro---"
"I was -never- your brother, Thor! I was never a part of what you and Odin had- not really! I-I was just a pawn in 'fathers' great plan!"
"No matter what you think, you are still my brother - and you always will be!"
Thor tried again, undeterred by Loki's overwhelming anger and bitterness. It wasn't the first time that he had tried to make his 'brother' see sense and it wouldn't be the last, even though each and every attempt was fruitless. Thor's love and compassion fell on deaf ears time and time again and his care was met with nothing more than a twisted, scorned heart- which had built up a high and impenetrable wall around it.

With his slender fingers wrapping tightly around the gold staff in his hand and pale eyes narrowing, Loki prepared to do battle with Thor once more- unfazed by his overwhelming display of affection. The pair had collided many times before and each battle had ended in both heartbreak and further pain. Each side had walked away wounded, more mentally than physically and each side walked away with nothing more than their own beliefs strengthened. "Don't make me ask you again, brother! Stop this at once!" the blonde haired God pleaded, whilst his bright blue eyes lost a little of their will. He knew that Loki would not listen, yet still he tried- as he always did, in the faint hope that perhaps one day his brother would see sense. "Then don't ask me!" the Trickster snarled, whilst a cynical smirk tugged at the corner of his fine, pale lips. He would not back down and he would not succumb to his brothers good nature. He would not live in Thor's shadow any more. He would prove himself worthy- if not more worthy than his worshipped brother.

With his large, meaty palm clutching harder at Mjolnir, Thor allowed himself to take in a heavy breath. He knew what was coming, even if he did not want to engage in it or fight his brother. "Please…" he tried once more, whilst squinting and trying to see better in the drifting snow. Unfortunately, Loki's reply was not constructed with words, for no sooner had Thor pleaded, the Trickster had set about thrusting his stave in to his brother's direction- in a explosive and violent display of his pent up frustration.

--------------------------------

Why do I hate, 'brother'? Are you so consumed by your glory that you remember nothing- or is it that you choose to blissfully ignore what has happened, because it does not affect you?! I am not your equal Thorr, I never have been- just the same as I have never been your brother! *With his hand tightening around his staff, Loki points its bright tip in Thorr's direction.* Its not all about you, brother- not any more!
