I found this Xotl sub-species in the smallest of the Omen Islands, after about a month exploring its tangled jungle, so dense and impenetrable that countless times I thought I'd lose my way.
Thanks to the islands' tropical climate, with weather conditions ranging from pleasantly warm and breezy by the sea to oppressively hot and humid in the forest interior, Xotls have been able to grow as a strong species. However, this sub-species prefers dark and hidden places to the forest: hence, it's main habitats are caves and small deep ponds.
Unlike the main species representatives, this sub-species' slime is not poisonous, here's why the need to hide instead of living outside. Since this species moved to caves thousands of years ago, the colour of the skin changed from bright colours to a pale pink.
