This place was special-- you sensed-- sacred. Animals gathered and roamed with no mind of each other, all living in peaceful harmony. That was how the fairytale was supposed to go, after all, wasn't it?
As you approached the base of the gigantic willow the small form crouched before it became apparent; it was a female figure, dressed in a pale cream coloured dress with long sleeves and flowing lengths. Her body was lithe, but any hint of a figure was hidden by her clothing. As you near, her ears perk, though she does not acknowledge you fully.
"Hello?" You call out, intrigued.
"Hello." Came the soft response, not a beat missed.
"Who are you? And what is this place?" You asked.
A moment of silence passed without an answer. She seemed to be thinking. "I don't know," she finally settled. "If this place has a name, I was never told of it." Opening her eyes, she peered at you with her mismatched orbs and the faintest of smiles of her delicately featured face. "My name Desara Rei... I would be pleased to be called Desa. I am a Forest Sprite, this place is my home." She ventured. As Desa rose to her feet you noted she held some sort of rabbit-like creature in her arms. It was dozing happily.
"Are you like, a guardian of the forest or something?" You asked, enthused by the prospect.
A flicker of amusement shone in those strange eyes of hers. "Now that, my friend, is imaginative." She said dismissively, then let out a small chuckle. "Come with me, perhaps? I shall try to clarify things." She offered. In one fluid motion Desa took up her basket of flowers in one arm and, keeping her lagomorph friend cradled in the other, turned silently on her toes and headed towards the tree line.
