Charlotte always entertained herself with dating the hottest, most popular guys, but there were only so many to be found in her small town of Stone Bluff and the surrounding areas. Every boyfriend had to be better than the last, and how was she supposed to do that in her dinky little town? Her dream was always to move to Los Angeles, where there were not only handsome men, but famous handsome men. But her wealthy and usually-pliable businessman of a father had never let her move there for good, and visiting it every month was not enough. Since she had no money of her own (she had never worked in her entire life) she had been forced to stay.

Her ultimate goal was Matthew Wolfe. Rich, famous, immensely good-looking, charming, and highly sought-after, he was the best she could ever get. Sure, she was a fan of his music and his band, but what she really cared about was him. She had attended a few of Freeflight's concerts, but had never been able to personally meet him.

So when her father asked what she wanted for her 21st birthday party, she knew exactly what to tell him: "a private Freeflight concert, Daddy. Oh, and of course the entire town is invited. I would never dream of letting them miss such an amazing opportunity!"

She knew that Mr. James Tamsey, while he adored spoiling his only child, was also a shrewd businessman. He would not waste the ridiculous amount of money it took to buy a private concert featuring one of the most popular rock bands of the decade if it was only for his daughter and her group of friends. But he agreed to her request ("It would be good for the community," he assured himself) and on the evening of her 21st birthday, Matthew Wolfe and his band visited the insignificant town of Stone Bluff.

She was prepared. Hair, clothes, and makeup were all fashioned to maximize her appeal and enhance her natural beauty in order to capture the attention of the singer. And when the band came onstage to perform, she was right there in front, the birthday girl.

And, of course, it worked.
