History

Reiji grew up in a family that provided some of the best attorneys to date, it was even expected for Reiji to follow in the footsteps of his father.

Which he did.
After becoming one of the youngest and brightest attorneys at the age of 19, he decided to leave that path behind after failing to help an innocent man who was sentenced to death.
Reiji found an advertisement for the local school and decided to teach there. After two years of working there, Reiji defended the school from a false accusation placed on it by an ex-teacher. The school was pleased to have Reiji and decided that he should also have the position of School Lawyer, which he happily accepted.

Present

It was the end of the day, the youth of today seemed more tainted than yesterdays. I sigh as I wonder if I should be seeing some of these children on the stand one day, either defending themselves or being convicted. I sometimes wonder if I actually worry for them...

Then a knock pulled me out of my thoughts as I turn and see Albel leaning in the doorway. I tilt my head in a silent gesture for the man to talk. Albel remains silent as Misery crept up behind him, holding a few books.
"Ah, Rei-Kun, I have some of the textbooks you inquired about" She says kindly as she steps past Albel, who watch her carefully, and places the small pile near my stuff. "I do hope you enjoy them" she adds as she smiles at me. I smile back and gently place a hand on hers, she looks up at me with with wide eyes.
"Thank you very much Misa" I say warmly as I take my hand away and gently run a finger along the top book and smile to myself. Misery turns away with a slight blush visible, she quickly excuse herself saying she had a group of students waiting and left. I look up and notice Albel was frowning at me, I shrug and turn away from him.
"She is mine" Albel stiffly says as I glance over at him, I knew what he said is true, I have seen the two together. Her hand held securely in his, her smile brightly turn up at the stoic man. I felt myself grow warm, sure I like the girl, but I wouldn't want to piss Albel off. I turn and look at the man, he was a few days my junior, I sigh and kept eye contact with him.
"I won't touch her, she is like a sister to me" I calmly say as Albel humphs and leaves the room, I lean against the desk and sigh in relief.
