She was always an outcast, a bit of a freak if you wish to say. She loved the stars. Then a strange occurrence happened to her when she was young. She found these mystic gems. Fascinated she touched them with her wing. Instantly she changed. She was dark as the night sky, gold swirled her entire body and her wings were black as a ravens. The next day she was teased at the field. Frustrated and finally fed up she left. She didn't care how high she went, she just wanted to get away from them. She flew faster and faster until she reached the sky. A voice called out to her. "I see you have been blessed with the gems. Congratulations.""What?""You do not know?""No.""The gems you touched turned you into a creature of the stars and sky. Earth is no longer your home. The sky is. Welcome to the galaxy."Selexia smiled. Above the earth she was around others just like her, of course different species. She blended in with the surroundings. Yet she felt as though she had ran away from her problems. "I'm going back to earth for just a day.""That is allowed. May I ask why?""I have some business to attend to before I can feel no regrets at all.""I see. Be swift young one."She dove to the earth. Flames swirled around her. She landed in the middle of the field. They were there."Oh, look guys, the freak is back."They all laughed. She slithered over."Ok, I have had it up to the tips of my wings with your bullying, your stupidity. What do you have against me? I get so sick and tired of all you nonsense! I just shot out of the sky like a comet. I have abilities you could only dream about. So how about you just tell me what your issue is with me so we can all get on with our lives?"Speechless and infuriated they stood in silence. Then the one spoke."I just think you're too weird.""I'm a Serpenth. I'm not exactly what you would call normal. You got a problem with my species?""No, just you."Selexia hissed and a ray of light and galactic dust came out of her mouth."Don't irritate me. I'm not the shy little Selexia I once was. I live in the stars now. I control the stars, the comets, the moon. My venom is much more lethal."They back away."You know what. I don't care if you think I'm weird. I'd rather be weird than some pompous, stuck up, bully like you. Have a great life, you worthless being."Before a response could even be uttered she flew back to the stars, her home, her sanctuary.
