ne·lum·bo/nəˈləmbō/Noun: A lotus with huge leaves and solitary large flowers. Two species: American lotus and sacred lotus (see lotus).

It has happened more than once that the other frogs have been calling Nelumbo a crazy lad. Why?

Nelumbo spends his day sitting on his lily pad at the surface of the pond. Protecting it, and all the others with his constant annoying ribbits. It's rumoured that he talks with the water lilies but nobody can quite understand what he's 'saying' anyway.

The only insects he consumes are the ones trying to land on the lilypads, for they are his, and his only!
