"Look at that fluffy unicorn!"

The little girl was practically jumping up and down with excitement. She simply couldn't contain herself.

"It's so fluffy I'm gonna die!" she cried, clenching her fists. Her large brown eyes shone with not only the ever-existent sparkle of her youth, but also with a new, glimmering hope of possessing that unicorn.

As it would have it, that unicorn was watching the girl. Sitting suspended in the air, pegged to the corner of a carnival stand, it didn't have much else to do. Every day, people would pass by. Children would cry out, and the man that worked within the carnival stand would capture their attention and their hope with the promise that completing a simple task would give them that unicorn. However... none of the other children seemed to express the utter sense of pure love and adorableness that this girl did.

Presently he watched her intently, hoping against the odds that she might be the one. Yes, that's right. The one. The one person who could finally shoot down the ship in the booth that annoying man was operating. The one to finally take him home. The one little girl he could finally love. And, so luck and fate would have it - she was that girl.

The two became fast (lightning fast) friends, spending nearly every moment of every day together. After a day's worth of adventures and playing, they would go to bed, say their prayers in the hopes that they would never part, and went to sleep after a good bedtime story, which usually included kittens. In the morning, they woke up, and the joy of being together for yet another day always put a smile upon their faces.
