By sunlight and moonbeam, a tiny sprite counts each grain
To measure out time, with nimble fingers to maintain
The delicate balance that is each curvy hourglass.
Flitting, dancing, she fills each translucent mass
With flowing, glittering oceans of soft sand.
To complete her task, tools of a certain brand
Are used to quickly get each vital job done.
This glowing sprite works until land meets sun
And stretches her wings before fulfilling her task
And continuing on to a new empty and timeless flask.

Hourglass is a sparkling sprite the size of a small bird. Her everlasting duty is to count and measure out the grains of sand that go into each hourglass to ensure the correct time. She can teleport using an ancient fae magic and appear at each new empty hourglass to complete her task. As an immortal being, she has perfected her craft and can preform her work in mere moments. She carries custom tools to increase efficiency; some are long+narrow to prevent clumping and some are flat to propel sand quicker. On her travels, she befriended a tiny creature with a flickering tail who now helps to light the way when night falls.
