What is a Dual Wielder? An anomaly in our times.
Well, I guess we cannot say that anymore. I became a dual wielder by unlocking my inner focus through hate.
Let me start, I am the oldest of 15 cousins and I was shunned by the elder who happened to be my grandma.
Why are you so lazy?! Why do you always shut us out of your life?! I really do wish that you were never born!! Lovely woman, my grandma. Did you catch the sarcasm? I have been asked those questions and have heard that statement many times. Normally, when you turn certain ages then your names change to chart your progress through the clan. Not in my case, it's always stayed Vili.
My mom was my only friend because if someone tried to strike up a friendship with me then they and their families would be bullied. Finally, after turning 21 I was granted the right to leave the clan, which I didn't refuse. I left and never looked back. My only remaining tie to the clan was my mom and we would write every month, then the letters stopped coming.
Three months ago I received a letter from my grandma informing me that my mom had fallen ill and passed away. She lifted the shunning, out of the goodness of her heart, so that I would be able to attend the funeral. I was needless to say, grateful to the witch. I went out and bought a heart jewel as a thank you of sorts.
Turns out as I had left another letter came in the mail that stated that she had rescinded her lifting of the shunning. I missed the letter. When I got to the town and went to see my mom, I was told by a few of my cousins, who were gleeful of this, that I was still shunned and that I needed to leave. I didn't, I tracked down the witch and threw the heart jewel at her. Asking why I was still shunned when I received a letter saying that I could say good bye to my mom.
She said nothing, didn't even acknowledge that I was there.
I got her attention really quick though. Arnold, who is only a year younger than me decided he was going to mess with my car. He doesn't remember anything anymore, they have to reteach him everything.
What happened was, he decided to grab some spray paint and write "Shunned" on my car...I was already filled enough hate to kill but what happened was that he when started spraying "S" I turned and snapped my fingers. Seems a weird thing to do but I did it instinctively. As I snapped them both light and dark energy sped towards him and he landed against a tree. It wasn't the tree that made him lose his memories it was the combining of both light and dark energies.
Turns out the witch had an inkling that I had an inner focus which would be 10x stronger than hers. It scared her, but she and everyone else was under the impression that the only love could unlock the inner focus. Turns out hate can do the same thing but it unlocks the ability to be a dual wielder. Light and dark energy combining is a very potent combination.
