Kosi and Asu's place in the family story; (Still in the unpolished idea-stage.)

Kosi is a modern, fashionable 16 year old girl from the Tokyo metropolis.

She's transported back in time through a time-rift to the early 1800s along with Asu when they're on a school trip to Kyoto in July 2012.

Asu is originally from this time period, but fell into a trap set up by The Trickster God when he was a kid of only 7 years old, and was transported to the year of 2002 where he was adopted by a kind woman who raised him. In July 2012, he is an 18 year old boy and in his second year of High School.

Kosi: Born the 9th of January 1995, transported to 1818 as a 17-year old in 2012.

Asu: Born the 4th of April 1806. Transported to the year 2002 in February 1813. Returns to the year 1818 as an 18-year old in 2012.

A lot of years to keep up with here, but I have to make it right according to the Japanese school system which works with an April-March year instead of the January-December year we're used to in the west. This means that people born in 94 (Asu's "official" birthyear in the future.) and 95 will be in the same class.

As a result of this lineage, Kosi is actually 75% Kitsune (Fox Spirit). Kitsune powers lie dormant in her, and is part of the reason she develops such close bonds with The Trickster God, a pure fox spirit and demi-god. It is also the reason why she is able to travel through the time-rift along with Asu.
