Sweeney Todd has the Bloodlust

Jezebel Todd stood before the mirror, leaning in to brush a bit of fiery hair back as it fell to lick at her cheek. Just as she was straightening up a splotch of vibrant red on the alabaster skin of her neck caught here eye. "Bloody bleeders" she muttered, whipping out a handkerchief from her cleavage and wiping at the spot.

Satisfied that she now looked much more presentable Jez turned, starting towards the massive oven that burned hotly on the other side of the dark cellar. She made it half way, carefully being sure to skirt around the still wet pool of blood, when the trapdoor in the ceiling opened with a click and a creek, a body hitting the floor with a thick wet thud, blood splattering up over her blue and white skirts.

A sigh escaped Jez's purses lips, accompanied by a slight flaring of her nostrils, "Alright then, have it your way." she mumbled casting a glance at the trap door above, once again closed, "I'll just pop up and change then won't I?" she pulled her apron off over her head and hung it from a bent nail on the wall and crossed to the heavy steel door, her footsteps on the cobble stone floor echoing through the large underground kitchen.

Grunting slightly she pulled the door open, then shut again behind her, metal on metal sounded as the key turned in the somewhat rusted lock. She gave it a test then, satisfied that all was secure, dropped the key into a pocket on the front of her skirt. Turning and hiking her skits so she didn't trip on them began to ascend the steep, narrow staircase that lead back to the alley outside the bakeshop.

Halfway up she turned with a curse and clambered back down, fumbling in her pocket for the key. Once unlocked she heaved the door open and sprinted across the uneven floor, fling the door to the massive oven open while shielding her face from the blast of heat from the fire within. Using a set of tongs and folded cloth Jez pulled the tray of pies from the oven, biting off a hiss of pain as the blistering tray touched her forearm for the briefest moment.
