Faely loved flying. She remembered watching her parents fly as a youngling, wishing she could join them in the air. The day her mother taught her was the happiest and scariest day of her life, it didn't seem like she would be able to copy her mother's movements at first. Her wings didn't seem like they would be able to hold her body up in the air, let alone lift her to the heights her parents achieved.

Her first few times resulted in her crashing into the branches below, but it became easier the more she practiced. Her first flight was amazing! Her mother and father cheered her on, watching her zig and zag above the nest before coming down to land in front of them.

Faely's second love quickly became the night sky. After flying, Faely could often be found wide awake and wide eyed, looking up at the twinkling stars above her with fascination. She often wondered how the stars had gotten so high, for try as she might she could never reach their heights.

One day, Faely decided she was going to try to join the twinkling lights in the great big sky. She began practicing going higher and higher, until she eventually couldn't even see her nest. The next night, Faely gathered her supplies and set off.

She flew higher and higher, continuing on even through the next day and into the next night. Her wings became heavy and she started to tire. But just as she began to give up, the Moon came up in the darkening sky.

"You've traveled a long way my little friend. Would you like to rest before you head home?"

"Oh Moon, I would much rather stay with you. I love to look at yourself and the stars at night. Might I not join you up here?"

"Hmmm...well, we have not had any new stars in quite some time. We would love the company, if you would like to stay with us we shall make you a constellation! You can shine down and look upon your world anytime you wish!"

And thus Faely became a constellation of stars. She flew about the sky at night, twinkling with her new friends and shining down on her world.
