"Hey Ponda...! Ponda!!" The boys of the adoption center called my name in teasing voices. I felt something hit the back of my head and I held back a loud snarl that threatened to leave my lips. I wasn't going to satisfy them with my emotions.
"What do you want?" I asked, keeping my anger out of my voice. I looked over at the guys with a blank, expressionless face.
"We want you out of our center! Your homosexuality might be contagious!" They said and I couldn't stop myself anymore.
I bared my fangs and growled angrily, making them stop laughing. They stared at me as I stormed over to them, clenching my fists,ready to kick their sorry little a-.
"Adoption time~!" The worker yelled and they ran away joking and laughing about how I would never be adopted. I would eventually be adopted, either that or I would be put down, which personally I'd love. I walked toward the lady and her pet that were standing in front of the group of guys. What was the point of me even trying anymore, they were right. No one wanted to adopt me at all.
The woman and the guy took one overlook of the crowd of boys then the woman pointed at me. I froze and stared at the her. Her pet asked if she was sure and she nodded. The worker motioned me over while he talked to the woman. I walked with my head down and the woman handed her pet the keys and he dragged me out the adoption center by my wrist while she signed papers. I stared at him quietly and when he looked at me, my heart sped up. He wasn't bad looking, in fact, he was pretty hot. Okay... a bit of an understatement...
"What?" He asked and I shrugged, too embarrassed to speak, and took the keys and got into the passenger side, ignoring his yelling and protesting.
"Get in or else." I snapped, not in the mood for a whiny baby.
"Or what?" He asked immaturely, crossing his arms.
"Or I'll attack you!" I yelled in a threatening voice and he stared at me with a shocked expression. I growled and he covered his face and his claws were already out, but I could tell that it was only for defense. He threw open the back door and got in, slamming it quickly after him. I smirked to myself and closed my door after me.
My owner smiled at me and the pet and got in, taking the keys from me.
"So, Hason, Ponda.... I'm Masaki." She said and I nodded and she drove away from the adoption center, giving me my first glances of the outside world.
The ride back home with my new owner was silent after her introduction. My owner lead me and the other guy into the house and went up to her room closing the door. I looked at the guy and he was staring at me. I blushed slightly and walked toward him, holding out my hand.
"I'm Ponda..." I said quietly and he nodded and shook my hand.
"Hason apparently...." He said and I pulled my hand away slowly.
"W-well.... I'll be.... asleep.." I mumbled and he nodded.
"I'll sleep with you... N-not like that... just in the same room...." He said and pulled me to the living room and I laid down on a couch and he laid down on another one. I sighed quietly and grinned a bit, watching his unconscious figure. Maybe this new life won't be that bad....
