I'm 1992, I was bought up on the foray of anime into the western world, non-existent parental lock internet and tea. This is my story.
Standing at 5 foot even, I am a partly mechanised human. It started young, just glasses, 61% of the developed world populations used some visual aid of the kind by 2015. The nuttier conspirator theorists say this was intentional plot by the government, something in the water to weaken society to gradually normalise the concept of relying on a crude form of mechanisation. If it is, it worked. As computers advanced and became smarter, 3D printing became the extreme sport of science. Eventually we were printing organic circuitry to entire organs. People began under going operations for modifications not because they needed them, but because they wanted them. Previous taboos of tattoos, piercings, stretchers and brightly color hair paled in comparison to the early eye socket mounted cameras, nuero linked limbs and simple nueral link headsets. For me it went from smart glasses to needing a new leg.
Not an entire leg, mind you. Just some surgical intervention to fix a bad break complicated by a dislocation.
