Although not technically Belmont blood, Baozhai is the head of the Belmont family business on Var Shaatah. She was born on Tǔ Xīng, one of the core Alliance planets, to one of the founding families of Tǔ Xīng. She grew up with five other sisters and three older brothers. They lived a privileged life, in which Baozhai and her sisters had their own tutor. She learned how to read and write, how to do math and arithmetic, history, and much more.
Being part of such a rich and illustrious family had it's perks, but it also had it's downfalls. Even though Baozhai had started to develop feelings for a young man on Tǔ Xīng, she was to be married to another... Armand Belmont, who was from the wealthy moon of Thibault. Armand was a decent man, who worked long hours and made good money. But he lived in his father's shadow and wanted to step out from it. So he moved her to Var Shaatah with him to run his business there.
