People got needs. Drugs, guns, information, fake passports, jobs, sex — if it has value, Vesper sells it. Let’s face it, they’re gonna pay their bones to get it, and Vesper might as well be the one they pay, right? If she doesn’t have what someone is looking for, she knows where to get it, and fast. She knows people and she knows people who know people, a fact she uses to great extent.

Vesper grew up in the Lockley District. She was the only child, and her mother died of child birth when she was four years old, leaving her father to raise her. Her father was a Fixer, and prided himself on being able to get anything anyone might possibly need or want... for a price. Vesper grew up learning from him, and making the same connections he had. When she was eighteen her father would let her take over and handle the easy jobs, and by the time she was twenty-three he was letting her handle more difficult jobs.

One thing her father impressed upon her never to forget was that the streets weren't forgiving. Street cred is everything in that biz. It’s the difference between continued business or being cut up and sold to a body chop shop. Indeed, the streets weren't forgiving. While acquiring sensitive information to pass onto a buyer, her father was killed. This left Vesper to carry on, on her own. Which she did remarkably well.

One of her more challenging jobs was when Sylas hired her to find out what happened to Kenna. It took her many weeks to finally find out that Bartholomew sent her away on a ship. The poor guy was heartbroken to hear that information, and wanted to know what ship and how he could find her. Unfortunately that was information that Vesper couldn't acquire, as she didn't have connections with anyone THAT close to the Lockley Family.

But Sylas said he would pay her 500,000 currency for the information. That was good money, and she couldn't pass that up. This was how she began a friendship with Draven. She had found out the son of Bartholomew Lockley frequented raves in Dusk-Town, and so she began to go to them too, hoping to bump into him. Sure enough, she did. And he was looking for Ecstasy and Blue Butter, both of which she was able to acquire for him. She then became his number one drug dealer, and found out that his father sent Kenna away because she was an Oracle. He said she was on the IAS Windrunner, staying far away from the Alliance, cuz who knew what those bastards did to Oracles.

Now that was some mighty powerful information right there - she could tell Sylas and make the 500,000 currency... but how much would the Alliance pay her for it? Vesper wasn't sure she wanted to get entangled in the affairs of the Alliance however, they weren't to be trusted.

Just after giving her that information, Draven dropped some shocking information on her. He kissed her and told her he wanted to be with her. But Vesper refused, telling him that he needed to clean up before she'd even consider being with him. Vesper was sober, she had to be to do her job, and she didn't need some degenerate druggie alcoholic boyfriend to ruin everything her father and her built.
