Hartigan is a well known and popular actor. He's often been described as "America's Sweetheart" or a "Heartthrob" by the media. He's well loved by his fans and most of his sets have to have increased security to keep the rabid fans out. Papers and gossip magazines often gossip about him and his usual co-star and best friend, Reannon, despite the fact that he's an out and proud gay man. Neither Reannon or Hartigan are overly bothered by the gossip as Hartigan is not the type of person to get riled by anything. He's incredibly laid back and an old school gentleman.
