You feel a shill down your spine.

Something is around, although you can't really tell what it is. A sense of dread falls on you and you slowly start to venture your way back out of the woods.

"It is too late" you hear a voice whisper, echoing all around you. As you step into a clearing, you finally see it.

You have been around the rift before. You know what it looks like and how it feels. A strange force pulling you in.

Well, a rift is open right there. 'Why here in the middle of the woods?' you ask yourself, before hearing a cackle sounding like it's coming from everywhere.

From the opening comes a hoof, and then another, and then the eyes and mouths are what caught your attention.

You feel your blood pressure getting low and breathing getting more and more difficult.

The face that emerges from the portal shoots a large smile, both from the mouth on it's head and the many mouths in it's tails.

"Hello there, human!"

You just stare at it, your heart beating fast.

"If you're here, you've used the list, haven't you?"

Did you use the list?

Yes or No

YES

The beast rolls it's head back and cackles loudly.

"Oh noooo! I bet they told you that no consequences would befall on you, right human?"

Once again, you nod.

"Well... They lied!"

It steps closer to you, all the eyes on it's body rapidly blinking while locked on you.

"You see, that thing... Has no power at all!"

All the mouths on it's tails starts to silently giggle to themselves.

" no no, they are nothing but a charlatan! Telling everybody of how powerful they are and how they are the only ones who have this power... Lies after lies..."

With it's body completely out of the rift, the opening starts to slowly close, leaving matter stuck around the beast.

"That power actually belongs to me! The power to change things that already happened. The power to make things the way you want. That's my power!"

The creature gestures wildly with it's arms.

"They claim to be the best and that everything they do have no cost, but that's not true. If it was... You wouldn't be here."

The mouths starts to giggle and lick their lips, some flashing their teeth menacingly.

"You see, I won't take from you, as it wouldn't be very fair.

It's their fault that you're here, after all."

The creature is now just some feet away from you.

You can feel the warmth coming from it's many mouths while they whisper to each other, the many eyes now locked with yours and not blinking at all.

"Let's make a deal, shall we? Don't tell them you used their name! Instead, tell them that you used mine. Oh they'll be so mad! They definitely deserve it though, so don't worry!"

The beast reaches a hooved hand towards you and smiles with it's many mouths.

"What do you say? Deal?"

You slowly reach for it's hand and as soon as you shake it, the world around you warps and distorts.

When it finally stops, you see that you're laying on your bed. 'A dream?' You think to yourself.

You shrug and roll on your shoulder to go back to sleep, only to quickly catch a glimpse of some bright green eyes watching you from the dark.

A familiar shill runs down your spine as you lay on your bed waiting for sleep to come back.

"... No?"

You shake your head again, this time more vigorously.

"Wha... Then why are you here?"

You shrug.

"Oh... Well, listen, human

- the creature steps closer to you, getting completely out of the portal, that now starts closing -

If you consider using the list, let me tell you something: That thing lies! The power they claim to have? Mine! The only power they have is to summon me so I can do their bidding!"

You stare at the creature, it's many eyes darting around your body and your surroundings, while the many mouths whisper to themselves.

"Listen, before they offer you the deal, which they will eventually, let me offer mine first! After all is done, use my name instead of theirs! Oh they'll be so mad! I'm the one doing all the work anyway, so don't feel bad for them."

The beast reaches a hooved hand towards you and smiles with it's many mouths.

"What do you say? Deal?"

You slowly reach for it's hand and as soon as you shake it, the world around you warps and distorts.

When it finally stops, you see that you're laying on your bed. 'A dream?' You think to yourself.

You shrug and roll on your shoulder to go back to sleep, only to quickly catch a glimpse of what seemed to be a skull watching you from the dark.

A different shill runs down your spine as you lay on your bed, certain that when you fall asleep, someone else will be visiting you.
