The name Kiruba means "Grace of God", and is of Indian origin.

Kiruba is the Goddess of Monsoons in her kingdom. Their monsoon accounts for 90% of the rainfall and is essential to the people's survival. The agriculture is heavily dependent on the monsoons, for growing crops like cotton, rice, oilseeds and coarse grains. The rains are widely welcomed and appreciated by city as well, for it provides relief from the overwhelming summer heat. But not all of Kiruba's grace is so widely welcome...
