The oldest one among seven siblings, and with their parents gone, he often had to take on the role of parent.
He was not able to keep them from succumbing to the increasingly harsh winter that covered the land, however. Now that he had nothing left, he decided to head out on a journey to find the source of this coldness, as he could still remember a time when it hadn't always been like this, however faintly. A time of life.
Of course, being met by a desolate world, there wasn't much to encourage him on his journey. The distance he had to go before he would meet anything but ghosts reminding him of what he had lost stretched on endlessly. At least it could seem endless as he strained to not succumb to a freezing death as well.
