The troubled tiger

-I assume you don't get tired of trying to leave this place.
-I don't know.
-I told you before, right? We're here together. I'm not letting you go anywhere.

Bad things happen
Jinny was eleven years old when she found out humanity was harsh and cruel. Growing up in the north, there was little she had not seen – with one of her dads being a doctor and the other one a lieutenant, she had definitely seen her share of blood. When a person she trusted and loved did to her things she couldn’t understand, she believed the world wasn’t a place for her, and so she tried to leave it. More than once. One can believe she would definitely get tired of hospitals and therapists, however, she did have good company there. The tiger was huge, smelled kinda bad and was sarcastic, had an awful humor and was way too serious for her liking, but he cared deeply about her - and he would most definitely not let her leave this world just yet, as they had a lot to do.

Good things too
Mostly, Jinny had a good childhood, filled with a lot of happy memories from her two dads and her huge family. She was a wild, stubborn kid, the kind who fell from trees, scratched her knee a lot and played tag. She learned early about her origins, from the tiger tribe and the not so common bear tribe, and learned a lot about herself and those close to her.
Although she went through a lot of bad stuff early in life – from feeling betrayed and hurt by someone she loved, to losing people she cared about –, but things went a lot better with a strong-headed family like hers.

Enjoying life
Jinny spent a lot of time with her cousins, as she didn’t enjoy people at her school too much. Life made her reserved and shy, and mostly afraid to try and enjoy new things. One way her father Akela managed to get her out there was to take her out of the snow for a while, and show her the world as it was – and so he got her into everything he could to get her out of the house. He got her to learn how to garden, which she’s still particularly fond of to this day, and took her to his job a lot, where she saw a lot of new things – and where she met her dog-partner Radar.

Later on, by working at the Zodiac herself, she started to enjoy busy life as it was; she often has the habit of drinking a little too much and telling awful jokes, luckily, her friends are there to back her up – literally. While denying she would ever go near men again, she met Tedd, who’s gotten her to soften up a little bit. Nowadays, she enjoys her work and simple things in life; although life still takes a toll on her sometime, she keeps control of almost everything with therapy and a little bit of medication, and perhaps a little alcohol.

The Tiger
The Tiger first appeared for Jinny when she was around five years old, walking downtown with her father. Although she could see him, he was not yet allowed to approach her. When she turned twelve, life decided it was time for her to learn how to stand up for herself – and when life got bad, he was there to back her up. The Tiger is Jinny’s guide spirit, who shows up in the form of a light-golden big tiger, with a light scent of flowers – Jinny’s favorites – and an awful sarcasm. He helps her have some control over lightning and fire, and keeps her from harm. Although they annoy each other a lot, they are literally part of each other – they learned to live together.
Mostly, he’s a fun guy. Just a really annoying one.

Veteran and co-worker at the Academy. Makes her feel things she's not used to. She does like him, though.

Jinny

Best female friend, who taught her a lot about life. They share a love for overdrinking and netflix binging.

Hann

Cousin, although she calls him brother. Overprotective of her, but they love each other a lot.

Cadi

Long-time best friend who happens to date her brother. Something's wrong if they're not together.
