Giselle was being annoying, as per usual. Percy rolled her eyes at her younger sibling, who would forever oppose her at every turn, no matter how small or insignificant it seemed. See, the younger girl had once been the 'golden child', the prodigy, the wonderful one. Apparently the sun shone out her you-know-what, too. She was quite used to getting her way. But Percy didn't much care. Those days were long gone.
There had been a brutal attack. The siblings barely managed an escape - but not with their lives. Technically they were now among the undead, cursed against the sun to forever walk in shadows. They were frozen, 26 and 22 years old.
"I'm just saying, he's mine. Find your own toy." Giselle sniffed.
"I'm bored of him anyway." Percy sneered. But once she no longer showed interest, Giselle followed suit. As always.
Percy knew she could always avoid her sister if she wished. But sometimes she was unsure if Giselle could truly separate fully from her. She was still young at heart. As much as she sometimes hated her sister, Percy couldn't just abandon her. It wouldn't sit right with her. After all, they had lost everything together. And they had rebuilt together. They were blood after all, and they were all that remained of their family.
