Alex Wakelin leads a relatively happy and well-adjusted adult life, and isn't very open about his roots. Coming from a conservative enough family, symptoms of his untreated mental health issues led him to being something of a black sheep, and this came to a head upon coming out as a trans man. Couch surfing for a while and scraping through higher education, he settled into a career in nursing, half out of spite for a family that considered him unable to have any sort of "useful" life trajectory.

Private and quiet, Alex became a pro at keeping to himself, stumbling accidentally into partner Marco's life. He opens up a bit more after that, but not by much. Most of his socializing is through his gaming hobby, and is happy enough with that.
