In the Fire Emblem series of video games, the Pegasus Knight is a warrior who fights from the back of a pegasus, or winged horse. They have been a part of every Fire Emblem game in the series since its inception.

The Pegasus Knight specializes in fighting with a lance, though in rare instances, they may also be able to use swords by default, though this usually does not occur until the unit promotes. They are able to travel farther than cavalry or infantry units, and are not held back by terrain such as forests or mountains, since a pegasus can just fly right over the obstacles in its way. Pegasus Knights are known for their high speed and magical resistance, their moderate skill and physical strength, and their low physical defense and magical strength.

Almost all Pegasus Knights have the option to promote into the Falcon Knight, sometimes also known as the Falcoknight, but in some games, they can also promote to a Wyvern Rider, who, predictably, fights from the back of a wyvern.

Pegasus Knights have been known for being almost exclusively female throughout the series.

Caeda is the princess of the kingdom of Talys, one of the kingdoms on the continent of Archanea. She has been best friends with Prince Marth of Altea since they were both very young. She is a kind-hearted young woman who is full of compassion and empathy for her fellow man, regardless of who they may be. She will never judge a person based on their past, no matter how dark it may be, and will instead always give them the chance to separate themselves from their past and become a better person because of it.

Throughout the main-series games she is featured in, Caeda's friendship with Marth begins to blossom into something more romantic. At the end of Mystery of the Emblem and New Mystery of the Emblem, Caeda and Marth are finally married.

Curiously enough, Caeda as a Pegasus Knight breaks the mold in many ways compared to others. For one, her stats show a heavier focus on physical defense and skill, with lower physical strength and magical resistance. In addition, Caeda is the only Pegasus Knight mentioned here that can, by default, use both lances and swords. In the two earliest games she is featured in, she can only promote to a Wyvern Knight, though in the remade versions of the games, she gains the ability to promote to a Falcon Knight as well.

Florina is a young Pegasus Knight from the frozen kingdom of Ilia on the continent of Elibe, and the dear friend of one of the three lords of Blazing Blade, Lyndis (or Lyn). She is the youngest of three siblings: her two elder sisters, Fiora and Farina, are also Pegasus Knights from Ilia. Her pegasus is named Huey, and is one of a few Pegasus Knights in the series to have given her steed a name.

Florina is a very shy young lady who has a hard time coming out of her shell to anyone, but especially to men and to archers. She looks up to her sisters greatly, especially her eldest sister Fiora. However, because of her great timidity, she often finds herself clinging to her sisters or to others for help or protection. It is very easy to make her cry, but as she goes through the war, she begins to get a little more sure of herself, and realizes that she can't just stand in the shadow of her sisters forever.

She is very close with Lyn, and can also form a deep friendship with Hector. At the end of Blazing Blade, if she has a deep enough relationship with either of those two, she will either retire to the plains to live out the rest of her days with Lyn, or she will marry Hector and live with him in Ostia.

Florina fits the mold for a standard Pegasus Knight of the series, though she tends to build her skill stat much more quickly than her resistance. Other than that, she is, in most cases, a stock standard Pegasus Knight.
