Ryan (only called Phobos by the Isu) is a young man who spent most of his youth in an orphanage, after his foster parents died in an accident, when he was 10 years old.

His mother died shortly after his birth. His father is unknown, but gave Ryan into the hands of the foster parents and left behind a filigree necklace with a small pendant, which represents an arbitrary pattern.

Ryan grew up mostly on the streets where one day Nicos found him. Nicos owns a small restaurant and made sure that Ryan always got something warm to eat from time to time. At the age of 18 Ryan went to Army, but after 2 years he was dishonorably released because he brutally beat up one of his comrades. The comrade had angered Ryan to the point of blood, knowing that Ryan often has no control over his rage.

Ryan had no choice and hired himself out as a mercenary against the advice of Nicos who offered Ryan a job in his Restaurant. Ryan declined affraid he could cause to much trouble. With the money earned as merc Ryan could afford a small apartment in one of the poorer parts of Seattle, where he found refuge at least once in a while.

However, through his work as a mercenary, Ryan awakens the curiosity of some headhunters hired to look for people who don't fit into the common picture.Ryan has a talent for anticipating how his opponents will react and his response is above average.

The young man has a deep bond with a hawk he found injured on one of his missions. Ryan takes care of him and calls him Hetairos.
